Festival History

The Ridge Peach Festival began in 1971, organized by the Ridge Peach Growers Association to celebrate the local peach harvest. The “Ridge” refers to the geographic area along the fall line in South Carolina where peaches thrive in the sandy soil and moderate climate.

Over five decades, the festival has become a cherished tradition, bringing together residents and visitors alike to enjoy fresh peaches, local crafts, and small-town hospitality. The festival showcases everything from homemade peach ice cream to peach pies, cobblers, and preserves.
